Need some info about bastard Yeti arc as lt (Schwinn)

Cool! I think that's Elke Brutsaerts bike. She was a Yeti racer and then Schwinn. That is the Lawwill design that made it into the 1996 Yeti catalog but was never a production bike.

Interesting about Scott Sports, I always thought that it was Schwinn that bought Yeti.
I found another Yeti-Schwinn in my archives that could also be an early prototype. Some build inspiration maybe?

Great! Looks like the same colour/decal scheme as mine.

Keep pictures of old Schwinn or Schwinn/Yetis coming... It's absolutely good inspiration.

I would guess based on my foggy memory that your frame was made by Yeti for a Schwinn team rider. One of a kind or close to it.

Love the early Schwinn Lawwill frame, have always been a fan. I have a couple of the 99 Homegrown Lawwill's.

Re:

Quite a unique bike! I personally like Schwinn bikes and also Yeti, seems like you have the best of both worlds! More pics if you are gonna build it!

Seems like it's quite unique, yes. I'll keep you guys updated with whatever happens. I'll guess it will get some period correct Schwinn decals, mid 90's xt and black or silver ringle/control tech parts with a Judy fork. Some hed wheels would also be cool, but i don't know at this point how much money i'll put into it.

Re:

Do whatever you want with it. You bought it, you gotta built it, and now you gotta ride it! If you want to make a faux Yeti, then go ahead, but know that it isn't. But I agree with some other posters in saying that you should brand it Schwinn. Those are my 2 cents!

Re:

Glad to see it go to a good home. The guy that brought it to our shop used to work for schwinn / yeti.... but we really don't have much info other than that.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it... I think a Elke Brutsaert build would be fitting! Make sure to grab a copy of Har-Di-Hood to study up on.

Any chance to get some more information from the guy who brought it? I'll do some research with the Har di hood thing ;)
I'm bidding on a Judy Dh fork that i think will match this build. I'm thinking a retro dh inspired build.

Absolutely!

I know our team did some digging prior to posting the frame but I will see if we can go the extra mile and get another round of info.

Be in touch shortly.

Cheers
