Need some info about bastard Yeti arc as lt (Schwinn)

I guess a repaint and Yeti stickers would be a bad idea, since this frame got to be alot more rare then any arc as lt. Maybe not that attractive, but who cares.
I wonder how the original decals looked like since i dont know what year and never seen another like this.

So now we're making Schwinns into Yetis...

No. Thats actually what "we" decided not to do, if you read all the posts. It was just an idea in the first place.

Cool, good idea to keep it as a Schwinn IMHO.
In one way much more interesting than a regular AS LT, you have one of a kind. Maybe it was the first steps of the Yeti/Schwinn partnership?

Finger slip, I meant 96.

Its important to note that Schwinn and Yetis were just two models under the Scott Sports umbrella. Two popular name brands. Yeti was supposed to be the Cadillac and the Schwinn Homegrown was supposed to be... something less. I doubt there was much of a partnership. I know from direct sources that Scott Sports very much had their own ideas when it came to suspension design, ala the Yeti AS3. They didn't ask anything of the Yeti engineers other than to do what they were told.

As long as we're throwing out theories, my bet would be this was a one-off project made at the request of someone higher up at Scott Sports early on in the relationship to show progress mating the two brands.

Re:

Interesting about Scott Sports, I always thought that it was Schwinn that bought Yeti.
I found another Yeti-Schwinn in my archives that could also be an early prototype. Some build inspiration maybe?
