Well I became a member and have posted in the intro thread, and here is what I rode from 1992-2001

Proflex 750 (bought secondhand) snapped shortly afterwards and was replaced by:

Profex 752 complete bike change under warranty with DX throughout, had Pace RC 35s and a controltech stem fitted. BB dethreaded and was replaced under warranty with:
Proflex 853 frame replaced the above and added a USE Ti seatpost.

Replaced the whole thing with:

Early Raleigh Torus Ti frame, kept the Ti post and added Royce Ti BB and added..... wait for it......... an Ibis polished Ti stem.

That was stolen....

Torus again and added pace forks again MXCDs

Stolen....

Replaced again and stolen ( I think)

Replaced that with:

1996 DBR Axis TT (last 16 to come into the country) Syncros stem and Ti post, Pace RC 130 bars and Pace MXCD forks from Recycle secondhand bike shop in London (sadly no more) replaced the XT Vs with XTR Vs in 2000. Titanium bar ends believed to have been from Xacd very nice they were too.
Specialized clipless pedals and Kinetics Ti cranks (road) 172.5 long.. Bought from a shop in Glasgow by a colleague while on a software testing contract (he went home for the weekends and picked them up for me)

I was hit by a car in 2001 and then it was stolen while I waited to replace the damaged parts and was poised to buy Ti forks from Morati.....

Decided to spend the Compo on new instruments........ Bugger!

Not ridden since then though I have been given a bonded Raligh Ti frame with American Classics Ti seatpots... also fitted is Paul Lazenby's first gen Pace RC 35s..

Planning to get a Specialized Stumpjumper S-works by the end of the year....

Thanks for reading

a fine choice sir......sorry to hear about the demise of your DBR, but they pop up on ebay should you feel the need to replace it.

Thank you fr the thumbs up and yes it is a shame about the old girl, I do still have a thing for Titanium and really do fancy a Kent Eriksen with one of his seatposts...

If anyone hears of an Ibis Ti stem nice and short...........
