Hi, I just received a very very nice frame from Glorfingal (top fella 8)), and wanted to find out a little more about it. Believed to be a Lava Dome, the frame number is F908 ? 967 (the ? may be a digit missing under a chip ).

Always wanted a steel Kona - educate me!

Thanks,
Pete

A photo or even a crude drawing on some paper would really help Anthony

I wager some self satisfaction on it being a 96 . Anyone want to meet my bet ?

I think it's lovely 8)

This could be tougher than it looks,
The top tube hydraulic line fitting were`nt standard and have been added at a later date probably for Maguras.
The brazed on seat post clamp lugs were used until 1992 (1993 used a removable clamp) but these may have been added at the same time as the hydraulic lugs.

Is there a 6mm threaded hole in the underside of the bottom bracket for the "Grease Sealer" nipple ?

That was quick.
The grease sealer nipple held the BB cable guide in place but when the BB wore out the nipple was replaced with a bolt.
