Obviously faces no more hardship than the occasional paper cut, eh? Mind you, those staplers can kill. 
Anyway Stedlocks, my CI is also ex mob, a Captain in the RE, so while he's younger than me he's a bit old school. I got to stand up in front of all the civvies in the office and shake the bosses hand. If I were in your boots I'd have said something about the insult to the Queen carelessly chucking one of her awards about, no matter how vanilla it might be.

Not had a papercut for over 7 years now.
I did burn my lips on a particularly hot cup of coffee last week but i had some lipsalve handy in my manbag so i was ok.
If you want to misinterpret my original post, go right ahead, and feel free to flame me if you want to play the internet tough guy too, but it seems to me that the OPs Guv holds these medals in the same regards as I do.
