Mr. CRUD chain tensioner - worth using again?

I'm contemplating using my old Mr. CRUD chain tensioner, anti-chain suck gadget on my Cinder Cone rebuild. Thoughts? Are they rare?

Not rare - Most 90's kids will have had one

Quite cool, pretty useful for XC, not at all for DH (though this is why they were designed)

Would agree with the racket thing. Used to run a purple one for a while BITD but soon got irritated with the noise and took it off. Do their job well enough though, from what I can remember.

I didn't mind the noise, but I think they only suit certain bikes. I've tried mine on several bikes and it only seems at home on the RTS.
