Moving car on my land/Xsara picasso advice

Cant you just smash a window and take the handbrake off?

You need tools for that, just take the radio like they all do :P

One of the wee corner windows to gain access. You might find some details inside pertaining to the owner.
Word of caution though :? If you do break a window, tell nobody. Claim it was already broken or you might find the owner claiming that money off you.
The police said you can move it but thats not permission to break in or cause damage to it.

Easier still.

After phoning lots of towing companies, we got something sorted.

They have a jack specifically for lifting the back wheels up that lets you roll a car around. It was dropped on the pavement outside, where it is no longer our problem.

£10 a minute, but worth every penny.

How many minutes exactly?

Thats just mad, a brick through the window is free. Just wear rubber gloves so no fingerprints.

My thoughts exactly  So it cost money to get it shifted

I'd spend just five quid more on a can of expanding foam filler and spray the stuff up the exhaust, so it never ran again.

In the old days you just put some Northern Irish number plates on it and the army would come around and blow it open..... :-)

Landrover or similar, tow it from the back if possible. Handbrake shouldn't be a problem.
Alternatively if you have the space/time keep it for 6 months then you can legally claim it as yours.
Might be worth a couple of quid as spares at least, better than paying for a tow-truck.

Doh! but he's already moved it! The idea of the foam filler is 'payback' something which I did to an idiots car back in the 80's

Yes it was worth it as this guy spent three months trying to get his car running and it cost him dearly as he replaced everything to try and get it going, then someone noticed exhaust gases wasn't coming out when he was turning it over, so he fitted a whole exhaust and then he got it running again, he was a happy chappy again but a month later he had the same problem....again!!

I took vengeance out on this guy because he was driving by us and he threw a firework out his car window at us, but it was my mam who got hit and it exploded in her face and the police would not help, so we took/I out my own vengeance.

I want a quiet life. I paid someone, because even though it was expensive he had all the right kit to do it and it saved me from hiring a car.

I know his name and address now the car is gone. I also know that he owns his house. I am going to recover the costs of moving the car from our land from him through the small claims court. Perhaps he will get a CCJ, or perhaps he will pay us a couple of hundred quid.

Or I might not bother. I don't care, really, so long as he doesn't do it again. :-)
