Very nice James. Look forward to seeing this built up.
Check out the serial number...mine is 1593W142 which (I think) is deciphered as 15" / 1993 / Whiskeytown Racer / 142nd made that year.

Ahhh brilliant thanks Richard , the frame no is 1792w175 which would be fitting as its a 17" frame , great advice thanks buddy.

Ah, 17" you say? Thank f*ck for that, too small! I can feel the greens of envy draining away as I type..

Dont really know much about mountain goat bikes but after seeing that fram wouldnt mind finding out more. Looks really nice.

Very nice James,

there was a frame in the same paint scheme a few years ago that did the rounds but turned out it had metal worm in the seat-tube

It could be that one It has some small spots of rust on ST but from what I have seen all is pretty solid. Fingers crossed its ok , it looks good enough for me

I think it was possible to shine a light down the seat-tube in the dark and you could see the pin holes :shock:

Was definitely in need of a replacement.

Should be easy to tell if that's yours or not.

i hope it isn't in need of a new seat tube, it would be a shame as the paint looks really good.

i know i get stuff repainted quite regularly, sometimes i go original and sometimes i don't but i think one of the nice things about this frame is the paint work and it would be hard to reproduce.
