Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer - Project

I have tried to stay away from this thread purely because of the threads "heading"......................MOUNTAIN GOAT WHISKEY TOWN RACER.

THIS HAS SURELY GOT TO BE ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC BIKES OF ALL TIME...

IMHO.

I think it was possible to shine a light down the seat-tube in the dark and you could see the pin holes

bad news..... this must be the same frame, I have had a busy week this week with work but did manage to do the suggested with my front light, and yes there are 3 pin holes :( I however think that the issue is an inperfection in the original tube as all three holes line up. The rest of the frame is in good order and good condition, there is no rust in the usual places like BB or at the joints :? This pin hole area also sounds very solid if I tap with an allen key, it rings like the rest of the frame and does not sound dead as I would expect an infected area to sound. I will take to Argos and get them to have a look as they are only 10 mins down the road from me.

I will continue to get the Suntour goodness sourced and am convinced this frame is not a dead un.
