I am the second owner of this Mountain Cycle San Andreas R8.6 and have had it since 1995. I used it for general trail riding but it has not been out for the last few years. All of the components date from the original build or shortly afterwards. The bike had generally light use, which is reflected in its very good condition throughout.
The frame is in the original brushed finish with no frame dents or deep scratches. There is light scuffing to the decals on the left side.
Mountain Cycle Suspenders System 3 fork (the elastomers are functional and can also be refreshed as I did from http://www.suspensionforkparts.net).
Risse Terminator rear air/oil shock with adjustable compression and rebound damping. Fully functional and comes with Risse shock pump. The original MC AfterShock elastomer shock is also included with bike, although the elastomers have age-hardened beyond use.
MC Pulstar hubs with straight-pull stainless spokes onto Mavic M261 rims. The wheels run true and have no dents.
Mountain Cycle ProStop cable/hydraulic disc brakes, front fitted. Rear brake fitted is currently an XTR cantilever (from that period). The rear ProStop disc/calliper will also be included with the bike.
Deore XT drivetrain with very little wear. No pedals included.
Headset: Mavic 317, 31.8mm

Bars: Renthal RC sub 130, bar ends: Onza
Brake levers: Dia Compe SS-7
Shifters: Grip Shift
Seat post: generic aluminium
Saddle: Velo titanium
Seat clamp: CNC aluminium, twist to tighten (possibly Control-Tech)
Tyres: Original era Panaracer Smoke and Dart. Air-B inner tubes.
