Unhappy Moho Slix owner :(

Stumbled upon this thread as I, a proud Moho Slix owner, am facing a very sad situation. Could not post links in first post so read on to next page...

Sad Moho owner

I was riding my bike along a flat road, in flat boring Wichita KS, at about walking speed, I snatched the brakes at a stop sign (and admittedly I run big brakes, 8" Hayes Strokers) and heard a PING! noise, which I thought to be a broken spoke, but no, I have sheared my left rear swingarm. Awesome.

Maybe this is because happier times on the Moho have finally caught up with it - this was 5 years ago in Switzerland/France, with a rogue Specialized P3 Esher Shore clip at the end of the second vid:

I can of course hold out in vain optimism that I will be able to repair it, or get a spare part to replace the broken swingarm, but I suspect it will become spare parts for somebody elses Moho, and I now face the dilemma of what to replace this awesome frame with, and how much that will cost! Boohoo!

Noooo!!! That is awful! I do hope this does not happen to mine, I would be devistated!!

Although looking at it closer, it looks like you have only snapped the weld not the frame itself, therfore a good ally welder should be able to make that as good as new! Let us know how you get on...
