A friend and I went up to Kent Ridge Mountain Bike trail in Singapore yesterday morning. We managed to get there before the trails got busy (didn't see a soul) but it was still very damp underfoot and the tree roots were more slippery than a slippery thing, but it was a good ride.
The trail itself is only 3km long but after a couple of laps, you've lost your own body weight in sweat. I swear that I had an ant drown on my arm at one point.
In the middle of the woods was this sign, which I liked. I think they're supposed to be hikers, but we didn't see any hunchbacks, either.
Details on the trails here: http://offthebike.dirtraction.com Much respect to the trailbuilders; working in this heat and humidity, with all those creep crawlies! Being first riders of the day, we cleared a number of spider webs with our faces. Nice
