Brooks C15, it is the answer to all saddle questions - except "what is the cheapest".

I played it safe and went for a re-issue flite. My butt is flite shaped, plus I already have a set of Onza Ules lock on grips - best grips ever made.


The new flites don't seem quite as well made as the originals, but the comfort is the same

You’ve proved my case right there, you wear tweed when you ride that !

I know this thread is about a comfortable saddle and that big ass momma might be comfortable - rather like Florances’ shoes in the magic roundabout but sure as hell both of them sacrificed elegance to achieve it




With that saddle and in a mildly cool way that looks like a bike the great escapers used to cycle across Germany on...


Anyway if they are comfy and make love to you butt cheeks every time you ride - then who am I to argue.... you get out more than me

Funny, I never got on with my Flite and ended up selling it, just a bit too narrow for me. The Charge Spoon though, I have ridden thousands of miles with one and have them on all my bikes. My eldest, my brother and 2 mates use them too, the more ubtle ones blend nicely with older bikes too. A real horses for courses thing.

There are quite a few variables that will make all the difference to your choice of saddle.

What type of bike, it's use and your riding style.

I use a Brooks B17 Ti on my Santa Cruz and it's great for me.
