Middleburns - they work ok and it’s a singlespeed so have sorted the chain line quite nicelyDepends entirely on the cranks.

I’m just doing like for like - can’t recall when I replaced it as it would have been years ago. Was originally an LX chainset (4 bolt ugly AF) which I replaced with some L&M (soon for sale) until I got some middleburns (but didn’t realise they don’t match! Good job you don’t look at both sides of the bike at the same timeAre P7's not usually 113mm?
Decent ones getting scarcer - having ground out my last UN-72 and killed a Token in only two winters, I'm trying the Genetic Karyotype now.
No problem. PM me your email / number for WhatsApp or signal please as it will be easier to send rather than trying to upload hereThis bike’s gonna cost me an absolute fortune lol. Can you send some pics?
Royce Ti ... oh, looks like I'm the s̶e̶c̶o̶n̶d̶ third person to say thisI've just stripped my P7 (199ready to go back to Orange for a well deserved respray as to say it is ratty would be being kind. I'm trying to keep the finishing kit "period" ish but the BB has me scratching my head.
The BB I took out (LP27) seems to be made of lead- though it still spins pretty well. Clearly I was on a budget in my 20's when it was last replaced.
I think its time is done, and I want to replace with something lighter and that will last a bit. I could hold out for a UN71/91 etc coming up in the right size (68/110), or a unicorn Hope Ti in the right size - but the UN300 modern seems to be pretty well built and reasonably light (well, compared to what I already have). They're also cheap as chips, and nice and shiny.
Appreciate there will be a cry of "sacrilege" - but more importantly my retro friends, am I overlooking an option?
Opinions welcomed
