Does anyone know if it would be possible to repair my Vitus Depose bike frame. _The down tube epoxy/glue has failed causing the tube to separate from the lug. It is a much loved, vintage frame from the early to mid-1980s, likely constructed from Duralinox 5083 aluminum-magnesium alloy bonded together with some kind of epoxy.

Using J-B weld epoxy bond maybe?

Do you think I should strip the frame before doing the weld/bond?

Some commentators have suggested clamping the frame to a board while the epoxy cures...

Sorry, no practical knowledge on the approriate way of doing this. Just mentioning the J-B weld epoxy bond as I vaguely remember Paul Brodie repairing vintage Nukeproof carbon hubs with this epoxy in one of his YouTube videos.
