cant put my iphone4 down when im at work, its great and by far the best i have owned/used.

take some getting used to, but they are a great piece of kit.

HTC Desire - great phone and all the apps you could need. Only problem is the battery life, which is great if the reception is good, but in rural areas it does suffer (although this could be said for most smartphones).

If you're not using the Internet put it on 2G only, the battery drains quickly when it's searching for 3G signal.

im not very popular, i havent had a call in months

i mainly use my phone for mp3 player and games, then videos and texts (not many  )
but then im a cheap pay as you go person and dont really need to contact many people

when i consider a new phone i look for a couple things it has to have and not worry so much abou the other things
but they do have to meet certain standards
i.e i wouldnt expect any smartphone to be lacking a camera these days

im shocked that some phones wtill come with 'VGA' cameras (usually 1.3 megapixels, sometimes less  )

Android has come on in leaps and bounds over the last year or so, it doesn't have as many apps as the apple but 90% you wouldn't ever use anyway, all the bases are covered by both.

I've got the Desire HD, bloody good it is too!

My stepson has an ipod touch and we had an iphone owning friend come over the other day, he couldn't work out where the extra £300 for the phone function came from!!!!

The Apple's for the fan boys, if you want genuine choice in a phone go for Android, if you use it for business go for Windows or Blackberry

P.s. Sorry John, Symbian's days as a player are numbered!

what you say is right
but i see blackberry as only useful for its messenger and windows only really has Live (whatever that does)
thats all they have as a unique selling point :?

and i agree with you on symbians shelf life coming to an end, but i just remembered that they released symbian^3 not so long ago?! strange one that
they seem to have totally left the building on that after just a few months (was new to the n8)

People seem to be obssessed with phones these days!

When I was out with friends for a meal I found people getting phones out, blogging and going on Facebook letting everyone else know where you are slightly irritating to say the least!

If you haven't gathered already I'm in the 'don't care' camp :D
