Minty 1984 Ritchey Team Comp for taller dudes

$2225!!!

The component spec on this had me drooling, very similar to my Timber Comp...and the whole bike looked NOS, those bars were off the map. I must say I never thought this would fetch this kind of money, I have a feeling the top 2 bidders just entered a max amount they thought would ensure a win, and ended up pushing the final amount through the roof. It's such a big frame.... I was thinking $800 max. Crazy.

High price, but $800 seems low. I would think a Super Comp in that condition could fetch over $800, and there were a lot more of them. The '83 Competition and '84 Team Comp are harder to find.

This auction was a lot of fun to watch in the last 10 seconds. It went from $570 to $2225 with 8 seconds left in the auction. I was watching it, though it's way too large for me.

I was thinking maybe $1200-1500, as it was in minty shape. $2225 is a pretty penny indeed

..although I also thought the big (23-23,5?) size might result in a lower winning bid. Shows how little I know

Wow - I saw it at 10 minutes and $570...didn't realize it stayed that low, that long.
