I have finally decided with heavy-ish heart to sell my GT Tequesta, it was a bike I bought in the autumn of 2023 and it has had many upgrades since I owned it.
But as many of you know I have quite a few GT's and my favourites are my early 90's GT Bravado, Pantera and Avalanche.
It's time to move it on and let someone else enjoy it! It's a very light and responsive ride thanks to the Reynolds 525 double butted tubing. The frame has two scratches to the top tube which have gone through the layers of paint but has no rust showing. The rest of the frame is in really good condition for its age with minor marks you can expect.
The bike has always been stored indoors since I have owned it and I know the previous owner has also had it stored indoors. The forks currently fitted are '98 GT Bologna forks which I put in to save weight over the original Rockshox Judy XC's (about 1kg difference).
Frame: 1998 GT Tequesta frame (Reynolds 525 DB tubing) size 16".
Forks: 1998 GT Bologna cut (also double butted) Ahead
Headset: FSA sealed bearing 1 1/8"
Stem: Kore 120mm
Bars: chromoly, non branded but light weight.
Brake levers and shifters: Shimano Deore LX, not integrated
Brakes: Deore LX v brake front and rear
Crankset: White Industries triple
Pedals: Flat, unbranded.
Front Derailleur: Alivio bottom pull
Bottom Bracket: Shimano cartridge
Rear derailleur: Shimano Deore XT
Cassette: Shimano 8 speed ( can be upgraded to 9 speed)
Wheels: Shimano Deore Hubs on Mavic rims (see photos)
Tyres: Michelin Country Trail F+R
Seatpost: GT 29.6mm Dia.
Saddle: Vuelta Bassano
Price: £160 ONO
Cash on collection is preferred but if necessary I can locate a bike box for shipping, please allow time for this.
