Hello fellow retrobikers.
For some reason I came across this thread and popped in to see when I lasted posted. As while I don't ride my Merckx all the time, it still gets used quite often but more locally now than away. When I looked at the last post about the date codes and realised it was from back in 2020! I thought I better post something.
Well, I haven't ridden it for about 2 months which is really poor but even before that from early 2025 I have only been on it for local rides on my own where I haven't taken any photos really as it's the same 4 loops I tend to use.
Then I remembered I posted on Mike Muz's post around Roubaix weekend as he had been out for Flanders getting muddy, so he inspired me. So just in the interests of keeping my thread and anyone who may be vaguely interested, slightly up to date, at least for the year, here are a few photos.
My Merckx is still here, I still love it, it still rides wonderfully and it still feels like my new bike. It is certainly part of the family.
