When i had my pink frame made i specified an 80mm head tube so I could run a "suspension" stem. It has about 5° of give via a an elastomer clamped round the top part of the steerer.

Luggage is rather nice. Spoken like a snail paced tourer..

Are you sure about the wheels? It's Dura Ace equipped. Don't like the bottom of the bars turned upwards though

ooh, interesting. My gut reaction was shamal. I'm minded to stay with that because if you look closely at 11 O'clock on the rear rim and 1 O'clock on the front is that not a blurred Campagnolo decal in blue?

That is a Shimano label I think. Shamal's were never marked in blue to the best of my knowledge.

Yates definitely had a very individual take on bike fit back then. I believe a lot of it was to compensate for issues created by various crashes during his career.

And I once read an interview where he said he bent aluminium bars every year. I've never bent any !
