Good to know a little more about the rims in question, and that they're within period range too! By the looks of the catalog I accidentally stumbled on exactly the right year of rim for the frame.

They weren’t 217 were they off eBay ?

517 were end of 1997 for 1998 when they first came out.
Not sure on 717
