Marin Zolatone Paint Update

Dupont Imron was used on the Konas/Brodies in the late 80's IIRC, but could be wrong.

Zolatone 2000 for the 90 & 91 Marins :)but looking at dupont imron it does state it's made with polyurethane which sounds like zolatone :?

I have used Imeron, it was another 2 pack type paint. I used it on a drag bike as it is Fuel proof, I scounged the dregs, already mixed, after a local paintshop had painted a dragster. It was really expensive.
Thinking about it if you looked at chop magazines from the states in the 70's solid paint jobs were often Imeron.

Isn't that hard-wearing garage/workshop floor paint polyurethane based?? We painted our workshop floor at work with that stuff and it's awesomely tough.....and a great match for the frame colour. The textured finish is down to the spraying technique I believe so maybe this might be an option to try.

We have a can left over.......hmmmm........*strokes chin in contemplation*

I've got the paint rep from PPG coming in this week I'll ask him since he knows heaps and has been in the paint business for years!
