sorry but in all my time on here , and i have been a member a while , I have never seen a member with such an attitude .

I never had to deal with him , but his racists views had no place on here .

John's site, John's decision, end of. I've had to deal with similar issues before, there's no perfect answer. I'm glad I don't have to do it any more :)

I have to say I havent been around much in the last 6 months but when I have i have been put off by bickering and quite honestly general shite that seem to bless what is a cracking forum. The general off-topic forum seems to be used these days as forum "celebs" twittering complete bollox from every min of there lives

Bring back the old days I say 8)

(the above isnt just in reference to MM either though his name was normally attached somewhere in the threads  )

None of us is perfect, and I don't think MM was any more imperfect than the rest of us.

Anyone who publicly airs his views in 24 posts a day is bound to upset people.

A bit of discretion in posting what he thought would of meant he would still be an active, and valued member of this community.

Actually the 24 posts a day is not the issue, it is perfectly possible to make even more than that a day without being excessive.

MM took a back to the wall mentality and some people indulged themselves accordingly.

It pains me to see some of them posting on this thread, displaying a telling lack of restraint most would attribute to the subject.

I hold no truck with calling people out on racism and such, but matters are more complex and now the right to reply has been removed I think it would be tasteful to hold back, given that MM cannot explain his situation and resulting attitudes/opinions.

It's not the public postings that caused his demise, it's the nasty stuff he kept for pm's that ended it all. Having been on the receiving end of such personal and hateful pm's I can fully understand Johns decision.

Well half my PMs with MM were of a similar nature, he was hot headed and daft and I kept advising him to cool his boots.

No one is questioning the outcome here, just celebrating a great member of this site, who had dark and light in equal measure.

No suggestion that sending ill advised PMs was ever acceptable.
