Hoping I get a good couple of stints in as it's a long way to go for just 2-3 hours riding.

I did it last year from Dundee - 1 race lap, 1 practice lap, (it was a 10 man team) it was a long way to go for that, but it was still worth it. I want to do it again next year, but maybe in a 4 man team, with slower morals.

Does seem to be the big thing, maybe next year a MacRetro invasion

I looked at them for the fixie but ended up going for something with more sweep, both down sweep and back sweep. Look like they'll be good for an MTB though, going on the Spesh I take it?

Due to work commitments I won't getting there until late morning on the Saturday so won't get a practice lap  Hoping the weather is better this year.

Velo- are you going for the Schwinn?? was tempted myself. Don't worry about the brakes- you don't need them, just hammer the hell out of it and slide through the corners. You could always get some of the Schwinn accesory bolt on canti mounts and fit some Mafacs or Dia-compes but TBH they don't make much difference.

prob. as it is a big frame but will try them on the GT first to see if I like them- the gt stem is so loooooong that I should get away with it- I did see kona used to put boomarang bars on the Kona Yee-Ha- great name, they just missed out Mutherfucker at the end which would have been perfect.

Fixie- Picture AC, pictures

Did you see tobys bike pic on facebook, was tempted to offer him £10 for the magura's or trade him some v's for them  , hell go on £50 for the whole bike, but thats just 'cause I like your face, now be off with you, young scamp.

Aaaah...gazz, gazz....it's all about the money shot for you eh. Pics will be forth coming as and when I feel that you're ready for pics and not a moment before.

Haven't seen that, will head over there for a wee shufty the noo....

I'd offer 'im 40 quid, might as well go in really low. He never needed that bike any way and I think it's gonna be a long and tricky journey to get him to use it again.

I think the sidewinders going to snake its way into my collection, its a 21" C-T which is an acceptable size for me. Getting hold of the rest of the bits will be the pain but I do have a 14-32 Suntour freewheel that fits the bill perfectly. Drum brakes are a real option for stopping as I have a front and rear set gathering dust but the eejit in me says go caliper with soft compound blocks and v-brake or motorcycle levers for max leverage. Also got suntour shifters like Dr S's Clunker which is a fabulous steed I might add !
Dr S. where did you get the bars, they look cool.

So much for not buying more bikes
