London comes to Edinburgh.

WEEEEJJJJ !!!

Enough said
I've never been in a Glasgow pub during the day and been essentially groomed by a homosexual shagging ring. Which did happen in Rose St.

I only realised what they had planned when I was taken to 'Frenchies'. Dunno if it's still there but F🤬🤬k me- what a place.

Needless to say I haven't been back since. I mean I know I'm a good looking guy but you just don't get that in Glasgow. :)

NAE POOFS IN GLASGOW!!!

ALL REAL MENTAL TOUGH GUYS!!!

Oddly I've lived in Edinburgh most of my life and I've never heard of anyone being randomly groomed in a pub.

Glasgow has, by far, the bigger gay scene.

How could someone get to legal drinking age and not realise they were being chatted up?

Hard to believe.

:)

Maybe I'm the best thing that ever walked into an Edinburgh pub? Admittedly the main guy involved was from Scumdee but just lived in Reekie.

Incidentally is the Cellar Bar still on Rose St or has it closed?

I wouldn't know about gay scenes.

Believe me it happened, and I didn't realise until the third pub. Admittedly I was quite pished by that point but it had all seemed fairly normal/plausible up till then. Until I was introduced to 'the group' in the gayest of all gay bars. Then the penny dropped.

And in the tradition of NOTW journalists I made my excuses and GTF on a train home. :)

I admit I seem to have a habit of stoating into gay bars in strange cities. Did it in London a few weeks ago, and an absolute belter double hit in Rotterdam a few years back. Dunno if someone's trying to tell me something... :?

When I first moved to London I happened into one, and was there for at least a couple of hours before it hit me.

Partly blaming the fact when I was seventeen certain pubs back in my home area were single sex by tradition.

My art teacher was about the only woman I saw in one of the pubs, and she was rumoured to be a bit of a thespian, though I would have to add I found out she was anything but an actress a few years later.

I guess it was flattering to be chatted up rather than intimidating, no?

I wouldn't say either tbh, although that Frenchies place didn't see many straight guys- I'm certain of that. Just a very strange day out all round. :)
