Little known French gem - Late 80's POELAERT

Helmut Head

Dirt Disciple
Here's my latest find - I saw this and thought it looked interesting - I've never heard of the maker Raymond Poelaert - apparently he was an apprentice of the great Rene Herse and later his daughter Lily. He was based in the Paris area.
Based on the date code on the Campag chainset (51) it will be from 1989 or 1990. The bike is totally original and in pretty good shape - P4010074.JPG P4010077.JPG P4010075.JPG P4010078.JPG P4010076.JPG Frame is Columbus Aelle and groupset is Campagnolo Athena / Chorus. Wheel rims are Mavic GP4 and look as though they've had little use. Can't wait to give it a spin!

I did indeed find it in France - in Brittany.
Condition is really good , however, there are a few paint chips / scratches which are mainly from storage.
