Little help IDing a GT frame

Update: I am still unclear on the model/year, lots of stuff seems close, but off by just a little (no groove tube, seat post Clamp etc..) Despite this, I bought it anyways 🤣. Seems like a lower end model as suggested above, but I think it's the right size and I like rack mounts, plus it looks pretty awesome all stripped down.

Here's the serial number, maybe someone can ID it now?
WYA6G0009

Likely to have been built in 1996 then, although the previous frame numbers I have for that era have two letters before the number. Could be '96 or '97 model.

The 1996 catalogue here is very low resolution, so not much help. The double eyelets on the dropouts suggests lower end and if the remnants of black paint seem original they could give a clue. You could check for any overspray in the headtube and BB sheel for more help. I'd guees maybe Timberline/Tequesta.

Nice clues, thanks! The overspray looks black in the head tube but I see what looks to be green in spots elsewhere.
