Lake Tahoe?

Well, I don't spend much time in the mud section anymore, preferring the allure of tarmac.

However, here I am watching the remake film of the A-Team and it is the bit where they break BA out the prison van.

The scene happens near Lake Tahoe and something jogged in my memory. Do I remember wanting an MTB of that name way back when? It was late 80s early 90s?

I have an even fainter memory of bright paint?

I had the privilege of riding in lake Tahoe when I was 15, back in 96, bit off topic but it had some awesome trails! must get the scans up of the rented LTS2 I had then!

Can't disagree. I did a web search of the name and came up with some stunning views.

American Eagle?

Apologies to Herman for picture-stealing, there's a thread here:

Fuji did (and still do I think) a Tahoe model from about 1995 but I seem to remember an earlier bike, possibly called a Tahoe Ranger

Bingo Mr Radian. I too have had Tahoe Ranger in my hind brain as well. Was it luminous do you remember?

I can't remember if it was half decent or anchor fodder.

I think I remember an ad where the bike was black with white or silver decals but not too sure.

I think MBK did a Ranger model in fluoro colour way.

Excuse me to barge in this thread like that, but the most relevant connection between mountainbiking and Lake Tahoe is the one and only Shaun Palmer, period.

American Eagle was an interesting brand, even though it wasn't American at all. Just ask Bart! ;)
