Chaps thinking of puting drop bars on my 92 lava dome and making some sort of mutant single speed dropped bar thing :? 8) . but not sure on what drops are any good or period, so any push in the right direction would be ace. Brand of bars, age and how wide.
Thanks for any advice in advance, Cheers all

WOULD EVERYONE PLEASE STOP PUTTING DROPS ON MTBs!!

IF YOU WANT A ROAD BIKE THAT GOES OFF ROAD, BUY A CROSS BIKE!!

Now, please can we restore some normality

Thank you, carry on!

(ps: I hate drops on MTBs, but thats just personal taste)

Only doin it cos i've got the frame sat doin nout...Calm down Dear!! ( as michal winner would say) its only for a laugh

Kev and Chris both have dro...dro.......MTB's with curly bars, so you need to be speaking to them

As for bars, I have always sworn by Cinelli for my drops.

Have a look at on-ones midge bars. They have a lot less drop than a normal drop bar and fit MTB sizes stems. They do flare out at a kinda funny angle though, you either get on with them or you don't.

Or Salsa Bell-Lap, a fave for 'cross riders everywhere. Similar idea to the Midge mentioned above but less extreme. Not period correct though
