I do feel the need to ask.... err, why would you? (either build or buy!)

Haven't we seen this before?

With a £99 Starting bid / £200 Buy it now / Collect in Person (somewhat off the beaten track) any takers?

I think the seller might consult the dictionary for a better understanding of what the word replica means. My dictionary says an exact copy of a work of art, or a facsimile. Putting the decals of one bike on a frame that is nothing like the one they were intended for doesn't come anywhere remotely near creating a replica.

I should have thought that rip off would be a more appropriate term, but even then, most rip-offs are a lot closer than this.

Yes Anthony, I tend to agree.

I see that the seller on this particular occasion is not trying to pass the bike off as a Kilauea. I believe I’m correct in saying that either this bike (or one very similar) was put on e-bay before. On that occasion however, the seller was attempting (either by legitimate mistake, or something more deliberate) to claim the bike was a genuine Kilauea. This resulted in RB members concluding that the bike was probably an early Specialized.

Anyway, that’s why I asked if we had discussed this before. I’ve done a quick search for that thread, with no joy - but must dash now.
