Klein Quantum Pro 1995 Burgundy Blue

When I did early morning road rides in a fit of ignoring the terrible driving and the very real risks of the narrow but horribly fast roads around eastern England I rode this:

It is NOT of the same pedigree as the bikes above, since it's a post-takeover frame and carbon-metal mix. But it rides beautifully. And the paint is quite something - purple from one angle, green from another, light blue from a third.

I loved being on a MTB-linked bike in a group of roadies with Italian bikes. 'Klein'????? and being ridiculed, until the next hill...whoosh.

Before you go on posting your links, I hope you all are aware of the differences between the "real" Quantum Pro of 1994-1996 and the inbetweeners of 1997 to 1998 and then the ones that were completely overtaken by TREKs changes.

Yes, they were still produced in Chehalis, Washington until 2000 or 2001 ...however, a "real" Quantum Pro is a highly sought after retro cult bike that reaches up to 2.000 Euros for the frame alone (if you have it in a super rare custom ordered color like Gator Linear Fade or Moonrise of that time 1992 to 1995)

Most of the links I see here are more or less the models that "nobody wants" or collects anyways.

#just saying to clarify differences

That is because I see too many people asking 2.500 Euros for a 2002 Quantum. Simply because they dont know KLEINs but as soon as they read the brand name, they try to make big dollars!

fguki - Yep very aware of the differences. And I can see from your list of things owned that you have quite a few 1994-96 builds/frames. The COVID bubble has now well and truly burst and yet we are in weird time of high prices and no sales. It was barely a year ago that I could feel an itch for a specific frame (or genuinely need one) such as a 27.5 BFE and find a number for sale in my size - now: nothing for months. And rhe ones which are around are just not selling, they have been up for ages and ages. Odd times.

That is true! I hold a vast collection of KLEIN bikes of the years 1991 to 1998 in total. That includes almost "all" models but specifically Adroit, quite a few Attitudes and still 6 "Quantum Pros" of all sorts and colors in total.

You are absolutely correct! Actually this week I was stunned (!) by the amount of great Attitudes you could find on the market and even more of the prices asked!

The overall prices of a great and "real" KLEIN of the years 1990 - February 1996 are on their all time low since 2019. There has never been a better time to buy stuff now, lately!

I saw several Attitudes sold (orignal paints, no cracked boxed forks, Team Storck color ways) and even decently completed bikes in the 1.500 to 1.800 Euros range which is absolutely wild (!) if you compare it to the 2020-2025 (early year) time frame.

In that context, I was also able to buy a 1992 Adroit (!!!) for a superb price and simply HAD (!) to take that opportunity. No matter if the bank was full or empty. I just had (!) to make it happen.

Cheers
