Just been into Woodrups, (them of hand made high quality frames). Asked a question about U Brakes to be told by the guy working there "sorry mate im not familiar with those type. What are they?"

U-brakes haven't been available on mountain bikes for 15+ (?) years. Is it really that distressing/amusing that some people might not know anything about them?

Do they even sell BMX bikes? If they're essentially a bunch of roadies why would they know about BMX?

If them people work in bike shops, and should have a better than average knowledge and interest in bikes, yes..................

I sell Huge LCD Tellys...........and yet I know what a valve is.
