Just got these, do you agree they were incorrectly listed?

Just got these off fleabay, they were listed as the below:

For sale is a used set of world cup lockout forks carbon fibre as you can tell the are signs of general usage but they are not bent and at the time the best forks on the market

However, when rec'd, the stanchions are corroded for a good 3 inches on both sides and front and back, I can get about 1 inch of travel using all my weight (i.e they are pretty much seized) and the carbon steerer is splitting at the top..
