Just a quick note about my mother

Nobody really knows anybody on here unless you meet up etc or live close.

So tomorrow if you have one second spare think about my mam none of you good people on this forum knows her


She is in hospital and goes down to remove an aneurysm on her aorta next to her heart and install a stint hopefully

So if you have a second spare i would like it please

And hopefully i will still have a mam by tomorrow night

I don't know who your mother is but I wish her all the best and for you too, its a scary time. The good thing is they spotted the aneurysm, they are not easy to spot and often go undiagnosed.

Thanks for your kind words mate yes you are right they spotted it whilst she was having scans on her throat and chest for something else

The stent procedure has come on leaps and bounds in the last 10 years, success rates are now much higher and recovery times far shorter. The surgeons are also extremely well practiced in stent graft delivery and will be fully in control of the situation. It is amazing how easy they make it look.

My nan had exactly the same operation and was complaining of being bored in hospital a few days later as she felt fine! She was 90ish at the time too!

Thinking of you and your mum, buddy, I can fully understand your concerns, but as has been said above, it's a very well practiced operation.
