Hi ya,

bit tipsy tonight and not sure what the feelings are or where he fits with retrobiking, but hes a bit of a hero of mine? which is strange for someone who thinks full suspension bikes are just morally wrong anyway<
has anyone got any thoughts and or updates on the crazy "Lifes to short not to go big, you gotta go big" mr bender,

evrything i can find is about this massive crash and spines and bolts and...
and i juts want to know hes ok, and has now got a job on a fishing trawler like most extreme alaskans or something.

also what was the earliest drop he did and on what bike,has anyone else attempted and or landed the Jah Drop,

just searched him on youtube.

i really dont understand how you come to do these huge drops. its not like you can practice. big balls but i have seen a lot of people do it a lot better. i guess that could just be that you dont see the failed attempts. this guy is obviously proud of crashes

I agree with jim

Just because he does it on a " mtb " people sweat their balls over him . If your reading this and wondering who he is , find a pic of one of his bikes , so close to being a crosser without an engine he might as well had taken the engine out of a crosser and used that instead , at no point does he pedal , just rolls off cliffs , stays stiff and lands in a heap of broken parts . I can remember plenty of times he would let the bike save him and get thrown off by the forks rebound , remember those marzocchi monsters that had 12" of travel ?

To save you looking at youtube vids go into the kitchen , take a mug and use a permanent marker to draw a wonky bike on the side , place it on the worktop and slowly push it off the edge ; it's like being there man .

There are loads of Canadians that did/do similar but with style and skill , they even pedaled and traveled distance too .

Ive seen him in the background of clips at the redbull events , possibly holding onto the dream .

Holy crap. i just watched a few of those videos and its like hes not even trying to land it. If he actually built up some momentum instead of rolling of a cliff at walking speed he might actually land it :?

Found the local bike shop building up Bender's bike a few years back when I was out there riding in Zion

Bear in mind this was in 2005, talk about an overbuilt frame :shock:
