Bikes and... wait for it, wait for it, Churches!

Am I misremembering or was there a charity ride in East Anglia to check off as many of the (150+?) round tower churches in Norfolk/Suffolk as possible in a weekend? When I used to spend a lot of time in the Bungay area 15-20 years ago I had a list of them and used to tick them off like an I-Spy book.
I am not sure about that one.
There is the annual Ride N Stride event that helps raise some funds for the various historic Churches Trusts around the country.

The event happens every year on the second Saturday in September. The way it works is you cycle from Church to Church and sign in at each one. Some are unmanned and you sign yourself in at those and then your route is obvious as you have it on your form.

It would be great fun if we could do a Retrobike mass ride up to you if you raise funds for the local Church and the Historic trusts (half goes to your church of choice the other half to the Trust) Forms are downloadable from the Trusts websites or just do it for the fun of it.

Yes I could have been thinking of Ride n Stride. I realised that when I saw the posters around over the past couple of weeks.

Another one All Saints Icklingham redundant but listed grade 1. Thatched roof which is a little unusual. The Corsa of course waiting to resume the ride. DSC_0226.webp
Then some time earlier in Tuddenham I caught up with someone else doing a different loop of churches although he had been to several of the ones I had already visited. DSC_0215.webp
