I happened to come across this post while search for info on this bike. I recently bought this bike for $50 for my son. It has been what I call “Frankensteined” a bit. While I’m not looking to do a full restoration, it seems the only things left that are original is the frame and the front rim. The paint job is 90% there but 80% of the stickers are gone. Forks have been changed to RockShox Indy XTs, hubs are shimano deore XTs, has twist grip shifters and updated brakes. What I’m looking to do is, and yes I know the midnight paint scheme is sought after, is my son wants to repaint it a color changing paint from green to gold. I’d like to find the original stickers to give it some retro-ness. Or if there’s a picture of the main tube sticker I can redraw it and produce the vinyl myself. Any other info would be appreciated.
