It doesn't fit...non-suspension frame?

I agree about putting a normal seatpost in it. How tall are you?
I'm 5'8"ish and would be riding an 18" with layback(normal) post, 135mm stem and normal, nice flat bars

I think only Specialized's FS models had suspension corrected geometry. The ones with a rigid fork didn't have the same geometry until '95 perhaps.

The front end is very low with that extremely short fork and the short head tube - hugely lower than the front of the bike in the background. In retro times bikes were designed for a head-down posture that most people aren't used to any longer. Clearly the long stem, the low front and the straight post all combine to throw your weight far further forward than you're used to. A lay-back post combined with a shorter stem with more rise might give you a more comfortable-feeling position.

Thanks for all your replies fellas.
I'm about 5 10.....can't remember the tt measurement on this..about 22 or something, certainly not a length I was concerned about.
maybe a layback post and higher rise stem (what rise do you reckon the one I have on it is) will do it.
Shame...its a lovely frame.....I want it to work.
Cheers
Carl
PS Havn't tried the Super Motos yet...looking forward to trying them

I had the same problem on my Saracen with a USE seatpost. I ended up getting a post with layback and the problem was sorted.
