Yes, we're changing our eating/shopping habits - going back to how it used to be where we can with fruit and veg from the market stalls and not from the supermarkets, same with meat coming from the (proper) butchers too.

We visit Leicester about once or twice a month as the other half is from there and they have a fantastic fruit and veg market. So it's easy to shop there and then bring it back down to the Big Smoke afterwards.

I cant' get over the price of pasta at the moment. Seems a little bit steep to me.

I nip for a pint and after I grab a box and fill up as they are clearing up the market at Portobello Road. If you catch closing time they sell trays of veg for 50p/£1 a go, same at most markets.

Trained the kids to scour the reduced sections in the supermarkets as well, letting them keep the difference.
