Insulting bid game

I've just checked the bid history and there were two sniper bids in the last 3 seconds of the auction.

I should probably go down the route of using a sniper programme but I just can't help but think it's unethical.

Personally, I just go with entering my maximum (pretty much) bid about 25 seconds from auction end.

If I then get out bid, I have chance to just add a small amount, to remove that whole, "another £1 and I'd have won it..." feeling.

If I don't remember about the auction ending, or haven't set an alarm to remind me - then I suppose it wasn't important enough - although that said, of late, I've been more disappointed about the things I haven't bid on, that I would have liked, and possibly could easily have won - but the flipside of it is, the whole bidding early, does tend to drive the price up, and attract interest.

I'm the guilty party on this occasion

I use a sniper all the time, I bid on loads of stuff but bid low and only win about 5% of the time. A sniper suits me as I can quickly set up bids and forget about them, and of course there's less time for other people to change their mind and outbid me.

i picked up a Ikea Galant computer desk yesterday for £1.04, it is poss the wrong hand curve but ill make it fit.
