Hoping to pick up a 70s Carlton tomorrow.....or at least I think it is? šŸ˜šŸ¤¦

It's this frame as per Cobra and siblings.

Good shout!
I wonder if it was painted because the chrome had turned to rust? Could there be good chrome under the paint?!?!

All home safe and sound, I will look for serial numbers etc tomorrow but for today here are some pictures......
Milremo stem
French hubs
Huret gear lever so presumably the derailleur is Huret too (5 speed hub)
Wrights saddle
Frame is 21" which is too small for me so I will keep the wheels and a few other bits and dispose of the rest.. ..

The only marking i can see on the BB shell is what looks like an X slap bang, bottom middle.

The serial number on the rear drop out is 340065

1968-72 Carlton where the numbering system went pants!

In between the original Carlton numbering of a letter / digits and the Raleigh bean counters numbering of W-month-year-serial
