Importing pictures in Vista

Our digital camera has approx 1200 pics on it and when I import them into XP it allows me to select which ones I want. My partner is using Vista and the only option seems to be to import all 1000+ pics every time she connects the camera :?

I'm sure there must be an option similar to XP but I cant find it, can anyone help please?

when you first connect the camera it should give you a list then ask 'do this everytime' etc

XP is the same as Vista - I'm using Vista right now and only import the pics I want off the camerea

Chris, grab http://picasa.google.co.uk/ it free and easy to use for import on both and with the web albums (if you sign up) uploading is easy as well.
