This is fine as it is recycling at it's best but carving dropouts off a frame or removing derailiuer hangers is vandalism :!:

I can't be quite that fundamentalist about it. If it's something actually rare, then yes. But if it's commonplace and tatty, then what the hell. If you want to go back to gears, hit ebay for another frame ;-)

I suppose so :? I am an antiques shop owner and each time somebody says "I threw one of those out or I broke one of those" etc. I always think "good that has just made it rarer then ££££££££ "
