Hi all,
I am able to offer to the forum a really nice hand built custom wheel set. Built on IKO Carbon bodied hubs with ceramic bearings laced to Bontrager Maverick rims using DT Swiss Competition spokes with high pressure rim tapes.
I got the hubs from the forum a few months from Inigo Montoya with intention of using them on my retro build but a rather large and unexpected bill courtesy of my car means I need to try and raise some cash and as such I am reluctantly offering them for sale.
The wheels have just been built up by top wheel builder Harry Rowland and have not been used, although I have fitted and now removed a tyre and cassette on the rear wheel and it has been clamped into the frame (just for the sake of being totally honest).
The hubs are silky smooth and look fantastic, black carbon bodies against blue anodized flanges and quick releases. The rims are good quality US made and have slightly offset spoke holes in black with silver braking surface, with wear indicator. There is, however, some very slight marking to the braking surfaces from storage, although that will no doubt disappear on the first ride and will not in any way impact on the braking performance of the rims.
They are 32H, weigh approx.1900g for the pair without tyres, inners or cassette (830g front and 1070g rear) and are presta valve drilled.
Any questions and further pictures please ask.
Am looking for £225 plus postage at cost but am open to offers
Thanks all.
