If you could go back.....

1995, said no, when i should have said yes, and if i could meet myself then, id give me a slap, oh, and tell me, in the future keep all those old bike bits and mags, never sell anything, keep it all.

1992 for me best bike year ever!!!

Bought a super fast Bravado, ditched the burd, ditched the job did loads of riding for a whole year trouble free 8)

Fun times, sadly missed

Wouldn't mind having another shot at A levels. Other than that, I was a bit narked at Man Vs. Shire Horse when a pucture robbed me of a very high finish.

that is a beautifull picture. looks like a painting.

My Dad took it. He used to take a lot of pics of me racing, and this one is my fave.

nov 91, would make sure i didn't get run over while couriering the monday before the 1st round of the essex winter series, would have done so much better than 7th over all scoring in 2 out of 5 rounds & possibly lead to a sponsered ride for my last jnr year. might not have done, but i'd be nice to find out..... might not have jacked it in.... might have made a living cycling, which'd have been cool.

you can't just leave it like that - said no to what? :D

Thats a great picture Pickle, i agree its like a painting. How old were you when you were racing?

I dont believe in regrets as you did what you did at the time for a reason and for whatever reason made sense then, just not now. Hindsight is a great thing but you have another chance for anything.

My saying 'Its not thats lifes to short, its just that your dead for so long' and 'dont let anyone tell you you dont deserve what you want'. Live by those and you will never have another regret!!

I am sorry to have read the above regrets but go do it now......................

Through the Winter Series, I was 15.

I raced from the age of 12 until I was about 18/19.

Go back to 1994 and not buy that Townsend Beartooth from the carparts shop in Dundee but save up a wee bit more, research a bit and then go and get something respectable as a first mtb. So many mistakes but thats the one thats relevant to the world of mtb
