Ah yes, Paul Hanks, i remember well from the Eastern (formerly Essex) series and a few other races. I'll post some pics once back from hols in a week or two, would be great to see some old race results as well, might jog my fading memory!

Cool, keep me posted :D

For bikes probably around 1993, although I'm having as much fun with them now as I ever did then (he says whilst unable to move after a bit of an epic in the sun today!).

For life, defo around 2000. Just joined the Fire Service and moved to Scarborough with one of my best pals. All my friend from home used to come over a lot and I spent my new found wealth partying and chasing girls by the sea.

Saying that, 1997 was pretty brilliant as me and all of my mates had a few quid in our pockets and loads of us used to go out up to 4 nights a week to party and chase girls.

There's a theme developing here....  :D

From the age of genuine self awareness at 14 childhood innocence was irrevocably lost as I realised that what I'd been through was just not right.

So I'd go back to 1973 and shoot my father just after I was conceived

Then (on a far lighter note!), I'd go back to 1996, the year I met my missus and not sell my Cinelli road bike.

In terms of cycling it would probably be 99 when I was working in my LBS and riding every day with a solid group of mates including Dan and Gee Atherton (they were stupidly quick then!). All the bike parts I got were at trade price and it meant I could bling my bike on a budget! I hadn't got myself into a ridiculous amount of debt and had the potential to do any job I wanted.

Still, I wouldn't change the route i have taken in any way, because if I did I wouldn't have met my Fiancee and wouldn't be happier than ever before (at home, work sucks!). ;)
