coz everything in the used 26" market is now much cheaper.

yipeeee! 8) 8)

QUITE possible i am missing out something by not jumping on the 29er train? nah

I've said it before on here, but I think 29ers look like people are riding a bike that's too big for them - to grow into.

Might be good to ride, but I'm in no rush to find out.

The craze will soon pass and 650b will become the latest thing. Nothing quite like following a fashion trend for emptying the coffers.

We don't need heavier, weaker wheels. I see more 29er wheels for work in the shop lately than I ever did for 26" wheels.

Agree. Like so much that is 'new' & 'better' a passing fad that will pass when the ad men think of the next 'must have' that will make you faster with out being fitter.

Having test ridden the Focus Raven 26,650 and 29 last weekend, I have to say that I think you are absolutely spot-on.

650 "looks" and feels right and feels more stable then 26". 29 is just like a battleship and is just horrible.

Hmmm, I do believe some 'Brands' have dropped certain of their 26" wheeled models in favour of a 29'er...

...quite like the look of some of them myself 8)

I do think that it makes sense, the 29er. Or the 650B. They have their advantages. The key for me however is that I think that I am pretty happy with the 26" size and do not see the need to change.
