Re:

i like bikes  :)
you like shoes
i buy bikes
you buy shoes
win/win

I've a couple of techniques ...

1. Wherever possible try and buy the same coloured frames ...

"Is that a new bike?" ... "No, it's the red one"

Surprising how often that works and heads of further questioning ;-)

2. Hum the escape to victory theme tune to youself (in your head, you don't want to give the game away) when trying to sneak a new ride in ... You'll be surprised how creative you can be when the chips are down.

Re:

You and a mate go for a ride and while out he switches to riding your new bike. Afterwards you invite him in and explain to the wife that there have been some kids stealing bikes in the neighborhood so your mate will just bring his (your) bike inside while the two of you socialize. After a bit he goes on his way and no one is the wiser….

I can not get anymore bikes in cause of all the room hers take up :!:
you need a better storage solution, I suggest wall and ceiling hooks.

Why hasn't anybody asked what the bike is?

Is it worth it?

Shoes and handbags. And her own eBay account softens any objections.

Bore her into submission explaining you want her to feel involved. Different bikes for different with all the detail.

Re:

The trouble is there now 2 bikes

An early 90's Saracen and a Raleigh

Oh and a Muddyfox

Damn i am in trouble :D

The trick is to dose it. Start with bringing one at a time, with some clever thinking everyone should be able to do this. Once you master this, you are up to your new challenge, two bikes at a time. Now that's going to be a massive challenge. It requires advanced skills and can take you years to master. Three is definitely only reserved for the very few.

Take the new bike for a muddy ride before bringing it home, get it really covered! If she challenges you, tell her it's that or the other bike (the more you have the easier this is). When you wash it and she realises it's a new one it's already too late for her as it's in :)
