How NOT to remove a bottom bracket !!!! Ha ha ...

is the non drive side cup plastic as it looks in the photo? they melt out pretty easy. then with the cup removed fill the entire BB shell with plus gas & leave to soak.

but hey your method worked ;)

Wow this is next level.

I personally have never found anything that can resist a fat man on a spanner.

Wow man, that is a great sketch package you're using. . what is it. . .??

Another trick is to weld a pipe onto the fixed cup and use it as a big lever. Still, lovin the style ;)

Pass a bolt through the BB tool and into the spindle (square taper?).
Tighten the bolt to clamp the tool tightly into the BB cup.
Put a big pipe-wrench on the BB tool and a length of pipe around the wrench handle for extra leverage.
Note if it's left-threading or right-threading and lean on the big lever to unwind the cup.

Having a mate sit on the bike helps to keep it in once place.

Physics - Ya gotta love it.

Some ancient Greek guy once said: "Give me a solid place to stand and a long enough lever and I'll free any seized BB in your shed"

Ha ha ha ..... You guys crack me up

Some hilarious comments but really.... Its only a Kona so try not to worry too much  Rides better now than it ever did !!

P.S Im 17 stone and my arms have been mistaken for legs (not because I have feet on the end) !! Trust me, weight and muscle was not going to budge that BB !! 15 years of Joe Murrays best rust had made sure of that !!!

Anyway, gives my mate something to practice his welding on !! :D
