You will need make a note of item number and their username and you will be able to remove the bid, Open the listing in another window and the copy and paste between ebay pages, Its probably worth blocking them from any further activity also, I had this on some items I was selling earlier in the year, as they so say bid by mistake

Cancel his bid, as already outlined above, and if you feel like it will help, then block him as a bidder.

Then go in and edit your listing, and scroll down til you see the international postage bit, where you can set limitations on which ever country/continent you like, outside of ebay UK   (I click on every one, then if people abroad contact me, I can look at their feedback and gauge how serious they are - then you can edit the listing to allow from only their country, and hey-presto, you've managed your listing more to your own liking, and less likely to get stitched)

Then only UK bidders can bid, anyone else is automatically blocked by ebay themselves - much more simples  8)

thanks for the info, i always wondered how to block other countries, now i know

No worries,

The only problem I've found is that you have to physically select the countries for every new listing  I can't find a way of setting it as a selling template yet.........

Slightly OT, but I really can't understand why some people want to limit their potential sales area so much - I've sold to buyers in the US, Germany, Italy, France, Greece, you lot in the UK. It's no big deal.

If someone's willing to pay the carriage costs then what's the issue? You even sometimes see it in the classifieds on here "UK mainland only". What's that all about?? So you won't sell to any of the Scottish Islands, the Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland (UK), ROI, the Isle of Man, Channel Islands (not UK) ?.

Plus, do you really think that it costs any more to send a package to the Isle of Man than to send the same item to Inverness?
IMHO it's as pointless as me restricting any of my sales to "Isle of Man addresses only - no UK sales".

I tend to agree, however I think part of the issue is a fear of a higher chance of an object not turning up at said location, possibly due to less than reliable overseas postal service.
No-one wants the hassle of claiming back monies lost from postal services, plus they have annoying 2/3/4 week policies to see if it 'turns up' before they even entertain a refund.
Why bother with the hassle for the possibilty of a couple extra bucks?

Perhaps a bit xenophobic of us Brits and probably not even true in most cases, but if im honest ive been on the receiving end of non overseas shipping far more from US citizens on eBay.com
Ive even tried bribing with extra doughnuts.
